Join us on Tuesday, October 27th, from 4:30–6:30 PM for an evening of hands-on stewardship and volunteer appreciation!
Help us keep the outdoor spaces at EcoHouse healthy and welcoming! This event marks the end of the volunteer stewardship season, and after finishing up our outdoor tasks, we’ll be celebrating your hard work with crafts and a light dinner of vegetarian soup and bread.
During this session, we’ll be:
- Removing invasive species and weeds that compete with native plants
- Creating space for native plants to grow and thrive
- Loosening and tending the soil to improve growing conditions
- Picking up litter and keeping the garden clean and welcoming
- Learning basic garden maintenance, including plant identification, weeding, pruning, and mulching
Along the way, you’ll learn more about why native plants are important and how they support pollinators, wildlife, biodiversity, and healthier urban ecosystems.
No previous gardening or stewardship experience is needed. Come learn, get your hands in the soil, meet other community members, and help care for Hamilton’s green spaces. Tools will be provided.
