We're creating a mini-forest, starting with the forest floor!
Join Green Venture and Lawfield Elementary School teachers and students as we install soil amendments to prepare a base for our mini-forest planting this coming fall.
Location is Lawfield Elementary School, 45 Berko Ave., Hamilton, ON L8V 2R3. Site prep location is east of the school, next to Berko Ave., immediately next to the school parking-lot. Note that this event begins during school hours, and volunteers are joining the students at the end of the school day. As a volunteer, you are welcome to join starting at 3pm.
We will be spreading soil, shoveling and wheelbarrowing mulch. Tools and gloves provided. Please bring a refillable water bottle and wear closed-toe shoes. Parking is available in the Laidlaw Elementary School parking lot. Bus access via #24 bus.
