We're planting a mini forest!

Join Green Venture and Lawfield Elementary School teachers and students as we plant 400 trees and shrubs to create a mini forest! Event will take place on Thursday, October 1, 11:00AM-6:00PM. Weather date is Thursday October 8, 11:00AM-6:00PM. Morning Shift Volunteers will arrive at 9:30AM to assist Green Venture staff with moving small trees into place.

Location is Lawfield Elementary School, 45 Berko Ave., Hamilton, ON L8V 2R3. Mini forest location is east of the school, next to Berko Ave., immediately next to the school parking-lot. Note that this volunteer shift happens during school hours and volunteers must have a valid vulnerable sector check. Volunteers will help arrange small trees in the planting area, help Green Venture staff provide direction to students and teachers, and support students in planting trees for their mini forest.

Volunteers must:
-Provide proof of a valid vulnerable sector check.
-Have some prior experience working with children ages 5-13.

Tools and gloves provided. Please bring a refillable water bottle and wear closed-toe shoes. Parking is available in the Laidlaw Elementary School parking lot. Bus access via #24 bus.
