We're looking for a few volunteers to help facilitate small group discussions at an upcoming Climate Café on Wednesday, October 7, 2026 from 5:30 pm–8:00 PM the Neighbour to Neighbour Centre (28 Athens Street, Hamilton, ON).

As a Climate Café Facilitator, you’ll support a small sharing circle by guiding participants through reflective discussion prompts about climate change. This isn’t a debate or solutions session; your role is to help create a welcoming, respectful space where people can share their thoughts and feelings, listen to one another, and feel heard.

Volunteer responsibilities include:
-Introducing the discussion questions provided to you
-Encouraging turn-taking and inclusive participation
-Holding space for respectful, supportive conversation
Stepping in gently if needed to make sure everyone gets a turn to speak.
Participating in the circle yourself (no expertise required!)

Time commitment:
The Climate Café event: 5:30–8:00 PM on Oct 7, 2026
A 30-minute facilitator training session will be provided and is required to volunteer. Date: October 5th virtually from 7 PM to 8 PM

You don’t need to be a climate expert, just comfortable guiding conversation, listening actively, and supporting a group discussion. If you’re interested in helping hold space for meaningful climate conversations, we’d love to have you join us!
